Full brass sectionals on Wednesdays are from 4:30 to 5:00. Sectionals by individual sections will be announced by your section leader. We will also be meeting as full brass half an hour before call time every Friday. We will work on breathing and buzzing exercises for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Mondays:
3:00-5:00? - Optional Trumpet Practice/Lessons (100 Spirit Points for rookies)- I may or may not be there every Monday, but I'll try my best, and you can leave whenever you need/want to, as long as you stay for at least 45 minutes. I don't want anyone coming for ten minutes and claiming that they were there to get Spirit Points. If you want Spirit points, you have to stay for at least 45 minutes.
Tuesdays and Thursdays:
2:45-3:45 - Optional Brass Practice (100 Spirit Points)
3:45-4:45 - Walk down to Burger King, Subway, Kroger, Bruster's, etc. to eat and hang out
4:45-5:00 - Walk back to school (we may have a little bit of basic marching practice until Mr. Mote arrives with the keys to the band room)
5:00-6:00 - Optional Brass Practice (100 Spirit Points)
6:00-6:25 - Hang out
6:25 - BE IN SECTIONS
6:25-8:30 - Mandatory Band Practice
Wednesdays:
2:45-5:00 - MANDATORY Sectionals
Fridays:
30 minutes before call time (call times will be announced as the season moves on) - Full Brass Warm-up - Mr. Rice will lead a full brass warm-up with breathing exercises and relaxed buzzing. We'll do this before every game.
This is just a basic outline of our plans for our optional practices. This is what we've been doing this week, and it's working pretty well.

I won't be able to stay on Tuesdays and Thursdays. My parents think band takes up enough of my life as it is.

I agree with Dryn... but i see the forty dollars as a side goal, and focus more on getting better. No offense intended, Dryn.

That's the point of these optional practices. The $40 is just a little extra motivation (a bribe) to come to practices to get better.
