lolol You know how Justin was singing while playing and I tried it too, and Josh freaked out when he found out I could do it and get an overtone like Mr. Mote said when Josh was talking to him about it? Well, I was just practicing that for the last half hour, and I've improved my sing-playing range a lot. I used to only be able to sing a middle G and play a low C. Now I can do a lot more. Sing middle G and play high G, sing E and play C, sing middle C and play high C, sing middle G and play high C, sing middle G and play middle D and vice versa, etc. And the weirdest part about it is that it works as a warm-down if you do it long enough.

Good, that means at the Chorus in On Wisconsin, you'll be able to sing that part. You also need to sing the flute solo. Kthxbai.

Yeah. Greased Lightnin' and Summer Nights. About this, since it's only 2 songs he doesn't know how to March, it shouldn't be a problem. I think tomorrow at practice you should keep an eye on him and if he is in the ball park of where he is supposed to be then good. If not, then we'll need to work with him.

That's a little problem. I might be able to watch if we just march and count or sing, but not while playing. And Mr. Mote might go crazy if he sees me looking around all the time while marching. And I kinda have my sets memorized by what I see in front of me, not by what's to my back. I'll check with Mote about it tomorrow and see if I can watch. Maybe he'll understand. (If he wants Zac in the show this Friday, he better understand! lol)

Yeah, we need to ask Mote if Zac will be able to march on Friday. But I'm saying to keep your peripharals (sp?) on him whenever he is in view. Don't move your head too much, just enough so you can see what he's doing.

I'm moving this part of the conversation to the Trumpet Sectionals thread. (This is the Full Brass Sectionals thread. For full brass. This is mainly a trumpet problem.)

Josh, no more "MORE LOW BRASS!!" LOW BRASS IS LOUD ENOUGH. Any louder and they'll be playing blastissiississimo. It's loud enough.

Yeah, they really are loud enough as it is. We understand you want to be proud of your section but there's nothing to be proud of if they aren't balanced and they are splatting almost every note.

It's actually not Justin so much as the baritones and mellophones. First trumpets are still a little laser-like too.
