Wow. Just... wow. Greased Lightnin'Mellophones need to stay softer longer on the part before the "park 'n' blow". STYLE!!! How many times do I have to say it!? Style is just as important as the actual notes! Summer NightsGeoff, are you cutting off that last note with your tongue in the first part of your solo? It sounds really short. We need to turn around for the very last note. It's supposed to crescendo, and it sounded really weak because it didn't crescendo. Hand JiveHold out the fall note longer. Work on the actual Hand Jive. It was hard to see with the shaking of the camera, but it looked... off. We need more crescendo before the Hand Jive. ARTICULATIONS!! Who is slurring those marcato notes in the piano section!! ? The last few measures were bad. We weren't together and it sounded like we weren't pushing the tempo enough before we got to the last measure. Then the last measure was pushed too much. We Go TogetherWHO WAS THAT!!?!!?!?!?? WHO MISSED THE MARCATO NOTES BEFORE THE "PARK 'N' BLOW"!?!?! ??

What? Cut off with your tongue? Or just make it really short? Because it's not supposed to be that short.

Whatever... I won't argue, even though it's not supposed to be that short. It does need to be short, but Mote's just being ridiculous about it.

Well, it could have just been the camera, but I did hear a lot of stuff that went wrong. You're right: it wasn't a bad show. I just think it could have been better. If we can fix that stuff that I mentioned, we might have a shot at first place this weekend.

I know. But just look at my comments again. Most of that stuff we can fix. Style, articulations, dynamics. That's all stuff we can fix. We don't have to be perfect. Nobody can be perfect. But we can fix those things.

If I have time this week, I'll come in during Study Hall and work with the trumpets. If I can get all the pass-offs done within the next two days, I can sit in on the class while they're playing and just listen. If I hear something, I'll fix it. You can do the same.
