If a, then not b. I think, if you don't figure it out soon, and say that you do, get up early tommorow, and I'll post my notes from last year on this. I just can't remember. but I think I'm right.

I'm in calculus, and I keep thinking that this says
"as A approaches the approximate value of B; solve for B"
lol.
Dryn, are you in Alg 2?

Okay, thank you. Yeah, ~ is "not". So, if a, then not b. b is given, so you have to prove ~a. Start with you given: b, which is the same as ~~b (not not be). Then go back to a -> ~b. Since ~(~b), that means ~a. I remember modus ponens and modus tolens, but I forget what they mean.

Ok, I don't remember modus tolens and whatever you said, and I took it last year. Zack, if you are in the band room tomorrow morning and still need help, I can be there at about 7:15 to check it over. I'll read over my notes tonight.

Okay, I got it now. Modus polens is if p, then q. p. therefore, q
And modus tolens is if p, then q. ~q. therefore ~p
So for a -> ~b. b, therefore ~~b (can't remember the reason), then you have another given: a -> ~b, then ~a by modus tolens.
